Description:
Sisters Rekpo and Mayunkiki from the female vocal group Marewrew (Butterfly), which focuses on the revival and transmission of the traditional Ainu song Upopo, have formed a new unit as Apetunpe (Moth), a night butterfly. They collaborated with Kiwi, Papaya, and Mangoes (KPM), a dance song band that performs around the world with the genius koto player, Hiroe Morikawa, at the front. The collaboration will bring back to life the original song “Kompusakkemenoko = Dried Kelp Woman” by Sadamo Hiraga, a respected yuka? (C)RS
