Asian Dub Foundation
Description:
Formed by British Asians, ADF (!!!!) is a mixed dub band that has been taking the world by storm with its diverse grooves and intense sound that runs the gamut of dub, rock, punk, and other international genres. This is the seventh album in three years from ADF, who have played the Fuji Rock Festival the most times and are extremely popular in Japan, and is a collection of tracks that can be called a “sound weapon” as they expand their horizons even further. A collection of tracks that could be called a “sound weapon”! The album features guest appearances by London-based string trio CHI2 and Nathan “Flutebox” Lee, who performs both human beatbox and flute. The album features not only the punkish drum’n’bass and bhangra dub numbers that are the hallmarks of the Asian Dub Foundation, but also songs with an unprecedented meditative feel, giving the album a wider range of sounds than usual. Breaking down genre barriers! Japan pre-release, bonus track included only on the Japanese version. !!!!
