Description:
A great accomplishment! Vinyl reissue of the masterpiece by Jorge Trasante, a gifted Uruguayan percussionist known for his joint works with Eduardo Mateo and as a touring member of the Gipsy Kings! Jorge Trasante, a gifted percussionist from Uruguay, became well known in Japan with “Mateo Y Trasante (1976)”, a collaboration work with Eduardo Mateo, a Uruguayan singer and songwriter who represents the South American country. The year after his collaboration with Mateo, he released “Folklore Afro Uruguayo (1977)” on the SONDOR label. As the title suggests, “Folklore Afro Uruguayo” is a stoic yet space-designing percussion work using drums, congas, billimbau, bells, and other instruments. The sheer visionary nature of this work should be ranked alongside such greats as Brazil’s Nana Vasconcelos, Argentina’s Domingo Cura, and Santiago Vazquez.A must have for South American music fans, the hypnotic percussion ensemble is highly recommended for DJs, and the dope soundscape is highly recommended for psychedelic fans! *First ever reissue on vinyl*LP cut directly from 24-bit/96kHz master tape transfers*The ultimate investigation of South American rhythms*Latest entry in our acclaimed series of reissues of Uruguayan classic recordings
