Tokyo Sextet
Description:
This is the third album in two years by the up-and-coming ensemble “Tokyo Rokunin Gumi,” formed by a group of musicians who are both active as principal players and soloists in major orchestras. This album features Schumann’s Piano Quintet and Brahms’ Piano Quartet (both arranged for sextet). This ambitious work by the “Tokyo Rokunin Gumi” is a must-see for its new appeal to listeners of the chamber music masterpieces originally performed by piano and strings. (C)RS
