Description:
Nobuya Sugawa, a pioneer in the Japanese classical saxophone world and an internationally active musician, will take on the challenge of performing Bach’s unaccompanied partita in 2020! Nobuya Sugawa puts everything he has into this work! Nobuya Sugawa, who is active internationally, challenges Bach’s unaccompanied partita, which he has been refining over the years. He made all the arrangements for saxophone by himself, and the performance is brilliantly executed with a wide variety of expressions, from an orthodox approach that focuses on traditional ornamental sounds and rhythmic treatments to a more jazz-like approach. In the famous piece “Chaconne,” he tries to get as close as possible to the human emotions contained in this piece. (C)RS
